Sound-proofing:
Recognising a main concern of would-be apartment purchasers, great care has been taken in the design of the floors, ceilings, and walls to minimize noise penetration. Double insulated walls are installed between units, which minimize noise. Floors and ceilings have double joists with a concrete barrier between them. Wood flooring has Dura-son acoustical padding.
Safety:
All units and halls are fitted with sprinklers, and the double insulated walls provide a one-hour burn-through specification in case of fire. The building is constructed to the stringent B.C. building code for earthquake protection.
Security and Technology:
The ground level units are pre-wired for addition of a security system and sensors. All units are provided with an enter-phone system with video feed to the cable TV to see who is buzzing the unit, before allowing entrance. The courtyard is locked. The parking gate and main doors feature an electronic key-card. CAT 5 computer network cable is provided to all rooms, to allow any device in any room to be networked.
